I fail to understand how something uncomplicated as a countdown clock can fail - to much public humiliation of sponsor and renowned clock maker Omega - after only a few hours of operation.
The clock, which was 'developed by our experts and fully tested' according to a spokesperson who goes on to say that is 'not immediately apparent what has caused the problem'.
Can this even be a software problem? What has gone wrong here?
